Vorwort Ich werde hier ein überarbeitetes und aktualisiertes Essay zum Thema Alchemie veröffentlichen, dessen ursprüngliche Fassung  vor ca. 6 Jahren bereits an anderer Stelle publiziert wurde und mittlerweile in Form mehrerer von mir nicht genehmigter Kopien im World Wide Web verbreitet ist. Ich lege Wert auf die Feststellung, dass ich der alleinige Autor dieses Manuskripts und der alleinige Copyright-Inhaber bin und dass ich für den Inhalt der angebotenen Kopien keinerlei Verantwortung oder Haftung übernehme. Ich lege ebenso Wert auf die Feststellung, dass ich an den Erlösen, die sich eventuell aus dem kommerziellen Vertrieb dieser Kopien ergeben, keinerlei Anteil habe. Alchemie (von Questing Wolf) Der Feuervogel (Phoenix) ist ein Symbol für die Wiederauferstehung. Die Bild zeigt eine Allegorie auf die Zusammenführung der dualen Prinzipien im opus magnum und die Wiederauferstehung. That which is the Fundamental Truth – the Substantial Reality  – is beyond true naming, but the Wise Men call it THE ALL. THE ALL must be all that REALLY IS. Ein paar Anmerkungen zum Stern von Bethlehem (keine wissenschaftliche Abhandlung und ohne Anspruch auf Vollständigkeit) Es ist sehr viel darüber spekuliert worden, welche Bedeutung hinter dem Stern von Bethlehem stecken könnte, ob er sich auf eine tatsächliche astronomische Erscheinung zurückführen lässt oder einfach nur mythologisches Beiwerk ist. Ich möchte hier einige Varianten diskutieren. 1. ) Der Halleysche Komet Häufig wird auch der Halleysche Komet mit dem Stern von Bethlehem in Verbindung gebracht. Dieser Komet umrundet die Sonne mit einer Periode von ca. 76 Jahren. Seine Umlaufbahn ist stark exzentrisch, d.h. sie weicht drastisch von der Kreisform ab; es handelt sich um eine lang gezogene Ellipse. Infolgedessen variiert auch sein Abstand von der Sonne drastisch. Nur wenn er sich im der Sonne am nächsten gelegenen Bereich seiner Bahn befindet wird er so hell, dass er von der Erde aus sichtbar ist. Das war das letzte Mal im Jahr 1986 der Fall. Ein paar Anmerkungen zu der Legende von den Heiligen Drei Königen (keine wissenschaftliche Abhandlung und ohne Anspruch auf Vollständigkeit) Nur ein einziges der vier kanonischen Evangelien erwähnt die so genannten Heiligen Drei Könige alias die Weisen aus dem Morgenland , nämlich das Evangelium nach Matthäus . Mt. 2 erzählt, dass Weise aus dem Morgenland nach Jerusalem kommen, um den neugeborenen König der Juden anzubeten. Allerdings werden sie nicht als Könige sondern als Magier bezeichnet. Im griechischen Ausgangstext ist von Μάγοι (Magoi) die Rede, das bedeutet wörtlich Magier . Ihre Anzahl bleibt unbestimmt. Sie behaupten, sie seien einem Stern gefolgt, der ihnen den Weg gewiesen habe (bekannt als der Stern von Bethlehem ). König Herodes hört von der Sache und befragt die obersten Priester und die Schriftgelehrten, wo denn der Christus geboren werden sollte, und diese verweisen auf eine alte Prophezeiung, derzufolge der Herrscher Israels in Bethlehem geboren werden soll. ...
